Position Description

Currently, more than 80% of Tanzanians lack access to electricity. The Regional Manager will play a key role in addressing this critical challenge by helping scale OGE’s solar energy business across Tanzania.
OGE is seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial professional to launch and build our company’s next regional business unit. The Regional Manager will drive development of a network of sales agents and a local distribution system. At the same time, the RM will oversee regional finances, staffing, and all other aspects of regional operations.
OGE provides RMs with initial training in Arusha, logistical support during the initial stages of expansion, and ongoing feedback and mentorship. The RM is expected to use his/her own experience and creativity to build a business unit in line with OGE culture and values.     Qualifications and Experience

  • Higher degree (master’s preferred) in business administration, education, Organizational Development, or relevant field


  • A minimum of 5 years experience in management and leadership positions in Tanzania


  • Excellent managerial, organizational development, team-building and leadership skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to interact with stakeholders of all nationalities and cultures
